Stress Relievers 


2020 has brought along with it not just a new year but the Corona Virus 🦠COVID-19 came sneaking in with it. How dare we begin a new year with so many promising ideas tucked away in our heads to make this a better year than 2019 and now we are stuck more ways than we anticipated. Stay-at-home orders issued throughout 50 states, can you believe the US FINALLY agreed on something collectively? While it’s a miracle I know, it’s more underlying issues that are creeping up on us. Some may even say the issues didn’t creep up, we had them all along. However, now is the time we MUST deal with them. STRESS. We all know stress with her raggedy ass can kill. So, let’s talk about stress relievers to help us navigate a more successful way to live more abundantly. 

  1. Pray: Give it over to the Lord and let him work it out y’all!
  2. Get active: a little walk, jog or sprint might do the trick. Yoga, YouTube it. Try a new sport. 
  3. Eat a healthy diet: Instead of fried, dyed and laid to the side, try grill, sautéed or baked foods and fresh veggies.
  4. Mediate: Get your peace ☮️Ex: light candles, create a prayer closet, chew gum, think about why you are stressed, maybe smoke something, drink something responsibly or NOT 😂let it ALL hang out. 
  5. LAUGH: CRACK TF UP!!!
  6. Connect with others: Make a dash to social media and not a social gathering, we don’t want more stress for being caught outside with fines.
  7. Get enough sleep: Get a bedtime routine and stick to it.
  8. Keep a journal: write down how you feel.
  9. Get creative and unwind: Roll out the tunes, start a garden, learn to sew, do a word search, coloring activity, cook, cleaning project, play games.
  10. IF these don’t work, seek counsel and get some online help or just have more than a little talk with the man upstairs, GOD.
